Some careers aren't linear.
And that gives you a wide range of experiences, skills, learning, and understanding! I started in broadcast journalism working on television and behind the scenes. I pivoted to marketing and PR for a theater and fell in love with opening nights - not just the lights and the glitz and the glam - the logistics, the planning, the thinking on your feet, the energy. I turned my sights to large-scale corporate events. Conferences, galas, and events with CEOs, Presidential hopefuls, entertainers, thought-leaders, small business owners, volunteers, and vendors. ​​

Working with, managing, and meeting folks for all different walks of life taught me the single biggest business lesson I take with me everywhere - EMPATHY.
